I had this image in my head for a couple years at least, just knowing that it would happen sooner or later. When the image comes to you in a vision long before you ever shoot it, you just know it's going to be amazing.

The only difference in this case was that originally when I envisioned the shot, it was a tougher looking dog like a Rottweiler or a Pit Bull.

Well sometimes the Universe has a way of making slight adjustments and that is exactly what happened here.

Meet BAXTER, the cutest little Cocker Spaniel you will ever meet.

I was doing the before ceremony, "Getting Ready" shots at the house and Baxter knew that things were different. With all the commotion in the house he was just a little more clingy to his loving mom Amanda. Who am I kidding... he wouldn't leave her side ! LOL

I would have her standing at a window for a nice natural light shot and he would be laying at her feet. If I moved her four feet away to a different window he would let out a huge sigh, get up, reposition himself at her feet, and once again lay back down.

It was priceless and I knew in that second that Baxter was my guy.

The rest was just so easy, and it just became... well.... Magic.

Baxter is no longer with us so this is probably the ultimate tribute to an amazing little dog.

Now it's OUR turn to sigh.
